Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) – Through the Student Activity Unit (UKM) of the Student Cooperative (KOPMA) Suka Maju (SUKMA) and Entrepreneurship, the university once again demonstrated its commitment to preparing competent and responsible prospective board members by organizing DIKLAT 2 UKM KOPMA SUKMA and Entrepreneurship 2026. The activity was held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the Seminar Room of Sucen Campus, UMPWR.
Carrying the theme “Strengthening Members’ Capacity as Competent and Responsible Prospective Board Members of KOPMA SUKMA,” DIKLAT 2 served as a strategic step and an initial requirement for members who intend to run as board candidates of UKM KOPMA SUKMA and Entrepreneurship. The program was designed as a preparatory seminar to enhance participants’ understanding of cooperative management and organizational management.
The participants were active members of UKM KOPMA SUKMA and Entrepreneurship UMPWR who show potential in business, both in goods and services. Their enthusiasm was evident from the beginning until the end of the event.
The first session was delivered by Haris Aprianto Setiawan, S.P., a Marketing Consultant, who presented on Cooperative Management. In this session, participants gained comprehensive insights into the basic concepts of cooperatives, cooperative principles, membership requirements, as well as the objectives and principles of sustainable and effective cooperative management.
To deepen their understanding, participants were divided into several groups and assigned case studies related to organizational issues. Each group discussed possible solutions and presented their findings in front of other participants. This activity aimed to develop analytical skills, teamwork, and public speaking abilities.

The next session was delivered by Dedi Runanto, S.E., M.Si., a lecturer at UMPWR, who discussed Organizational Management. He explained the definition of an organization, effective organizational management strategies, and practical steps to achieve shared goals in a structured and sustainable manner.
Following the material sessions, the event continued with outdoor team-building activities guided by the moderator. Three types of games—water toss, ball balance, and word guessing—were designed to strengthen teamwork, improve communication, and foster collaboration among members as future board candidates.
As a closing session, the committee distributed door prizes to participants who actively asked questions and to the winners of the games. The event concluded with a group photo session as a symbol of the successful completion of DIKLAT 2, which was carried out in a spirit of enthusiasm and togetherness.
One participant shared their impression, “At first I thought it would be tense, but DIKLAT 2 turned out to be really fun! I gained many new insights, got to know more friends, and felt even more motivated to be active in the organization.”
Through DIKLAT 2, members are expected to be better prepared in terms of knowledge, mindset, and responsibility to carry out their mandate as board members of UKM KOPMA SUKMA and Entrepreneurship, while actively contributing to the realization of the organization’s vision and mission within Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo.
