Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) — Good news comes from the Javanese Language and Literature Education Study Program (PBSJ), Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), which has successfully achieved the “Very Good” accreditation rating from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).
The accreditation was granted through the Conversion Supplement Instrument (Instrumen Suplemen Konversi/ISK) as stipulated in BAN-PT Decree Number: 184/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/S/I/2026, dated 27 January 2026. This achievement reflects the strong commitment of the PBSJ Study Program, FKIP UMPWR, to maintaining and continuously improving academic quality, governance, and graduate outcomes.
The Rector of UMPWR, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd., expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the achievement.
“Alhamdulillah, this Very Good accreditation is the result of the collective efforts of the entire academic community. It serves as recognition of the quality of the PBSJ Study Program and as motivation for UMPWR to continue enhancing educational quality and national competitiveness toward achieving Excellent accreditation,” he stated.
In line with this, the Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs, Dr. Dwi Irawati, S.E., M.Si., emphasized that the achievement is inseparable from consistent efforts to strengthen an academic quality culture.
“The Very Good accreditation reflects the alignment between academic vision, curriculum, learning processes, and graduate outcomes. Moving forward, we will continue to encourage learning innovation and the strengthening of the tridharma of higher education,” she explained.
Meanwhile, the Head of the PBSJ Study Program, FKIP UMPWR, Dr. Aris Aryanto, S.S., M.Hum., expressed his gratitude for the support of all parties involved in the accreditation process.
“This achievement is the result of the hard work of lecturers, educational staff, students, alumni, and partners. The Very Good accreditation serves as an important foundation for the PBSJ Study Program to continuously improve, innovate, and provide the best educational services,” he said.
With the attainment of the Very Good accreditation, the Javanese Language and Literature Education Study Program of FKIP UMPWR further strengthens its position as a leading program in the development of language and literature studies and in producing professional, competitive, and character-driven future educators.
