Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) has once again recorded a proud academic achievement. The Animal Science Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, has officially earned the “Very Good” accreditation status based on the Instrument for Supplementary Conversion (ISC) issued by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).
This achievement is stipulated in BAN-PT Decree No. 8548/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/S/XII/2025, which is valid from December 10, 2025 to January 11, 2027, and serves as official recognition of the quality of educational implementation, governance, resources, and the fulfillment of the tridharma of higher education within the Animal Science Study Program at UMPWR.
The Head of the Animal Science Study Program at UMPWR, Faruq Iskandar, S.Pt., M.Si., stated that this achievement is the result of collective efforts by the entire academic community.
“This Very Good accreditation is the result of the shared commitment of lecturers, educational staff, students, alumni, and the strong support of the university leadership. We continue to strive to enhance the quality of learning, applied research in animal science, and community service so that graduates of the Animal Science Study Program at UMPWR become increasingly competitive,” said the Head of the Study Program.
He further emphasized that this accreditation outcome will serve as a strong foundation for curriculum development aligned with industry needs and sustainable agriculture, as well as for strengthening collaboration with strategic partners.
Meanwhile, UMPWR Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd., expressed his appreciation for the achievement.
“The Very Good accreditation attained by the Animal Science Study Program indicates that UMPWR’s academic quality continues to improve. This is in line with the university’s commitment to providing higher education that is excellent, relevant, and oriented toward national progress,” remarked the Rector.
The Rector also hopes that this achievement will motivate all study programs within UMPWR to continue innovating and enhancing the quality of academic services.
With the attainment of the Very Good accreditation, the Animal Science Study Program of the Faculty of Agriculture at UMPWR further strengthens its position as a high-quality program, well prepared to produce professional graduates in the field of animal science who are adaptive to the development of knowledge and the demands of the world of work.
