Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) — The Student Cooperative Suka Maju (KOPMA SUKMA) and Entrepreneurship Unit once again continued their commitment to fostering business and cooperative spirit among students through the implementation of Entrepreneurship Class Batch 4. The event was held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the UPT PLUT Purworejo Building.

This training is part of a series of entrepreneurship and cooperative development programs consistently initiated by KOPMA Sukma and the Entrepreneurship Unit. The event was attended by the Supervisors of KOPMA Sukma and Entrepreneurship, the Supervisory Board, the General Chairperson of KOPMA Sukma and Entrepreneurship, committee members, KOPMA members, and UMPWR students.

On this occasion, Soeharti, S.E., a Production Consultant at UPT PLUT Purworejo, was present as the speaker, delivering material entitled “Training on Cooperative Business Unit Development through Innovation.” The session was presented in an applicative and communicative manner to help participants understand the importance of innovation in maintaining the sustainability and competitiveness of cooperative business units.

Carrying the theme “Creativity, Innovation, and Cooperative Spirit,” this program served as a learning platform for students seeking to deepen their understanding of cooperative business development in an innovative and sustainable way. Participants were guided to explore new business ideas, identify market opportunities, and design cooperative business units that align with current societal needs.

The training emphasized innovation as the primary foundation for developing cooperative business units. Participants learned to map business opportunities, create added value, and develop productive and impactful business strategies. Additionally, the program encouraged students to think critically, creatively, and adaptively in responding to market changes.

Entrepreneurship Class Batch 4 served as an essential platform for broadening students’ insights into cooperative business management while preparing them to become visionary, innovative young leaders capable of contributing meaningfully to the advancement of the university cooperative.

The enthusiasm of the participants was reflected in their positive feedback. One participant shared a memorable impression of the class:

“From this training, I’ve become more aware of the opportunities around campus that can be turned into cooperative business ideas. It’s very motivating and eye-opening!” they said.

Through this program, KOPMA Sukma UMPWR hopes that more students will be inspired to develop stronger, more relevant, and sustainable cooperative business units driven by creativity and innovation.
