Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) once again marks an important milestone in strengthening its academic quality and faculty resources. One of its distinguished lecturers, Prof. Dr. Sudar, M.Pd., has officially earned the academic rank of Professor in the field of Applied Linguistics.
The achievement of this lecturer from the Master of English Education Program further expands the university’s list of academic accomplishments and serves as evidence of UMPWR’s commitment to enhancing the quality of education, research, and scientific contribution at both national and international levels.
The Rector of UMPWR, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd., expressed high appreciation for this accomplishment.
“The achievement of Prof. Dr. Sudar, M.Pd. is a great source of pride for the entire academic community of UMPWR. This professorship is not only a personal accomplishment but also a meaningful contribution to strengthening the university’s academic culture. We believe that his presence as a new Professor will further drive research innovation, the development of applied linguistics, and the overall improvement of learning quality,” the Rector stated.
He added that the increasing number of professors at UMPWR is an indicator of the university’s continuous growth and transformation into an institution that is excellent, competitive, and impactful.
Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Sudar, M.Pd. expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the support from various parties who contributed to his attainment of this highest academic rank.
“Alhamdulillah, this achievement is a great trust for me. Becoming a Professor is not the end of the journey but the beginning of an even greater responsibility to contribute to the development of knowledge, research, and community service. I hope this achievement will inspire young lecturers at UMPWR to continue creating and improving their competencies,” he said.
He also emphasized his commitment to strengthening research based on community needs and promoting the development of applied linguistics that aligns with technological advancements and the dynamics of modern education.
