Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) continues to demonstrate its commitment to enhancing the quality of campus public relations as the frontliner of institutional image and information management. This commitment was reflected through UMPWR’s participation in the National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) and Workshop of the Public Relations Forum of Muhammadiyah–’Aisyiyah Universities (PTMA) held on December 5–7, 2025, at the Grand Rohan Hotel Yogyakarta.
Representing UMPWR in the national forum was Avizhena Akbar Hersanto, S.H., staff member of the Secretariat and Protocol Division. His involvement serves as a strategic step for UMPWR to strengthen its public relations capacity, enhance competencies, and expand professional networks in response to the rapid development of communication technologies and dynamic public expectations.
The Rakornas and workshop featured a series of essential sessions, including public communication strategies, social media management, media relations, inter-institutional communication strengthening, and Islamic insights relevant to shaping the institutional image and performance of public relations units. The sessions were delivered by experienced practitioners, academics, and PTMA leaders specializing in institutional communication.

Through this event, UMPWR is expected to strengthen collaboration among PTMA public relations teams and adopt various best practices to further improve public relations services within the university. This participation also marks a concrete effort by UMPWR to enhance professionalism in institutional communication, ensuring transparency, effective information services, and stronger institutional reputation in the public eye.
UMPWR’s involvement in the 2025 PTMA Public Relations Forum Rakornas reaffirms the university’s dedication to keeping pace with modern public relations practices and fostering broader collaboration—ultimately contributing to more effective, responsive, and competitive campus communication governance.
