Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) — UMPWR’s commitment to contributing to the strengthening of governmental institutions is once again reflected through the active involvement of its lecturers. On Wednesday, December 3, 2025, Dr. Raden Wakhid Akhdinirwanto, M.Si., a lecturer of the Physics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) UMPWR, served as the main speaker at the Human Resources Capacity Building Program of the General Elections Commission (KPU) of Kulon Progo Regency. The event, carrying the theme “Internalization of ASN BerAKHLAK Core Values, MURAKABI Work Culture, and the Motto ‘Serving Wholeheartedly’,” was held at New Dapoer Khayangan, Girimulyo, Kulon Progo.
The program was attended by the leadership of KPU Kulon Progo, including the Chair and Members of the KPU, representatives of the Regency Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu), representatives from the DIY Provincial KPU, representatives of the National and Political Unity Agency (KESBANG) of Kulon Progo, the KPU secretary, and all employees within the KPU Kulon Progo environment. The presence of various components of election organizers demonstrated KPU’s commitment to enhancing human resource quality as the frontline of democratic implementation.
In his presentation, Dr. Wakhid emphasized that humans inherently possess three fundamental types of intelligence—IQ, EQ, and SQ which complement one another. He asserted that spiritual intelligence (SQ) is a crucial foundation that drives the other two forms of intelligence.
“The key to these three types of intelligence is SQ. When IQ, EQ, and SQ are empowered optimally, individuals can become superior and integrity-driven human resources,” he conveyed.
He also encouraged all participants to internalize the values of ASN BerAKHLAK as well as Kulon Progo’s distinctive work culture, MURAKABI, as guiding principles for attitudes and actions in delivering the best public service. According to him, the spirit of “Serving Wholeheartedly” is not merely a slogan but a true manifestation of professionalism for civil servants.
This capacity-building initiative is expected to bring positive impacts to KPU Kulon Progo, particularly in strengthening work ethic, integrity, and the quality of public service ahead of upcoming democratic agendas.
Through the involvement of UMPWR academics in strategic activities such as this, the university reaffirms its role as a partner in developing professional, character-driven, and competitive human resources.
