Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) has once again recorded a remarkable achievement in the field of student affairs. Based on the SIMKATMAWA 2025 Announcement Letter No. 4744/B2/DT.01.01/2025 issued by the Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi Kemdiktisaintek RI on 17 November 2025, UMPWR successfully earned the “Very Good” predicate in Cluster 2 for Academic Higher Education Institutions. This recognition affirms UMPWR’s position as a university with excellent student affairs governance.
The predicate was awarded based on the assessment of documents covering three main components:
1. Student Affairs Institutional Management,
2. Independent Activities (Achievements and Non-Competition Recognitions), and
3. Activities of the Belmawa Directorate.
UMPWR Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd., stated that this accomplishment is the result of collective effort and shared commitment across the entire academic community. “This ‘Very Good’ predicate is evidence that UMPWR continues to enhance its services, mentoring, and student development. It is an important stepping stone for us to progress even further in the coming years,” he said.

Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Dr. Budi Setiawan, S.Sos., M.Si., expressed his appreciation to all units that have actively contributed to improving the quality of student services. He emphasized that this achievement did not come instantly.
“This accomplishment is the result of consistency and collaboration. We continue to build a supportive developmental ecosystem so that UMPWR students not only remain active but also excel across various fields. Moving forward, we aim to boost national and international achievements as part of strengthening our quality culture in student affairs,” he stated.
In alignment with this, the Head of the Bureau of Student Affairs, Promotion, and Admission, Dr. Hermawan, M.Pd.I., conveyed that the SIMKATMAWA 2025 result brings renewed energy to strengthen services and innovations in student programs.
“This ‘Very Good’ predicate shows that our student affairs system and activities are moving in the right direction. We will continue to expand collaborative opportunities, enhance achievement development programs, and strengthen synergy among the bureau, faculties, and student organizations. Our goal is to deliver increasingly high-quality services that directly benefit our students,” he explained.
With this achievement, UMPWR reaffirms its commitment to strengthening student affairs governance, improving student achievements, and expanding student development activities as part of its effort to achieve sustainable higher education quality.
