The Head of the BA Organizing Committee, Ari Fajar Isbakhi, M.Pd.I., said that this year's BAD will last for two months, until December 2025, and will be held in batches for all study programs. This activity is a mandatory agenda for new students and is a requirement for graduation.
Ari Fajar explained that during the BAD, students will be equipped with various materials, including those related to the Quran, Toharoh, prayer, Dzikir, daily prayers, and student ethics. This activity aims to nurture students to have a strong foundation in Islam.
In his speech, the Rector of UMPWR emphasized the importance of the Baitul Arqam Dasar activity as a forum for shaping Muhammadiyah students to be outstanding, noble, and Islamic in spirit.
“With this Basic Baitul Arqam, we hope to strengthen students' understanding of AIK as the basis of the movement. In addition, BAD is also expected to be able to form Muhammadiyah cadres, so that students not only seek knowledge in college but can also become cadres who have a spirit of leadership and role models in their surroundings,” hoped the Rector.
Through the implementation of Baitul Arqam Dasar, it is hoped that new students will not only excel academically but also possess moral integrity and commitment to progressive Islamic values as a foundation for navigating campus life and engaging with society. (Akb/KP).
