Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo (UMPWR) – through the Leadership of the Muhammadiyah Student Association (IMM PK) AR Fachruddin held a Campus Mosque Study Session themed ‘Self Love and Self Improvement’ on Monday (20/10). The event took place after the congregational Zuhr prayer at the campus mosque and was attended by dozens of students with high enthusiasm.
Featuring guest speaker Ustadz H. Noor Saif Muhammad Mussafi, Ph.D., this study was part of IMM PK AR Fachruddin's commitment to supporting the spiritual and mental development of students. The theme was in line with important issues surrounding mental health and self-development, which are increasingly relevant among students today.
In his presentation, Ustadz Mussafi emphasised that self-love is not a form of selfishness, but rather the main foundation for building self-confidence and the spirit for self-improvement. According to him, the process of self-improvement can only begin when a person is able to accept and appreciate themselves fully.

The interaction between participants and speakers was lively, especially during the enthusiastic question and answer session. The students seemed eager to explore further how to apply self-love and self-improvement in their daily lives, both academically and spiritually.
IMM PK AR Fachruddin Chair said that this activity was part of ongoing efforts to create educational spaces that support students' mental well-being. ‘We hope that this study will not only provide insight, but also serve as a real encouragement for our fellow students to pursue their studies with enthusiasm, productivity, and a healthy mindset,’ he said.
IMM PK AR Fachruddin is committed to continuing to present other inspiring studies in the future as a form of contribution to the character building and quality of the young generation on campus.
