Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo (UMPWR) – Student Activity Unit (UKM) Student Cooperative Suka Maju and Entrepreneurship (KOPMA SUKMA and Entrepreneurship) held Training 1 in 2025 as an initial briefing for new members on Sunday, October 19, 2025. Held in the East Campus Seminar Room at UMPWR, the event carried the theme “Strong Foundation, Great Steps: Organizations and Cooperatives for the Future.”
This Training 1 is the first step in the guidance process for new members of UKM KOPMA SUKMA and Entrepreneurship for the 2025/2026 period. This activity aims to instill basic cooperative values, organizational spirit, and encourage self-development as preparation for active contribution in the campus and community environments.
The event was attended by all new members of the KOPMA SUKMA and Entrepreneurship Student Activity Unit. Participants received material from two speakers who are experts in their fields, Purwanto, S.Pd., M.M., who presented material on the Basics of Cooperatives, and Mira Mutiasari, who presented material on the Basics of Organization and Self-Development.
In her speech, Susi Widjajani, S.E., M.Si., Advisor to the KOPMA SUKMA and Entrepreneurship Student Activity Unit, said that Training 1 was held as an initial stage of guidance for new members of the KOPMA SUKMA and Entrepreneurship Student Activity Unit.
“Through this activity, new members are expected to understand the identity of student cooperatives as a forum for economic development, education, and entrepreneurial character within the campus environment. With this knowledge, it is hoped that each new member will be able to adapt, play an active role, and contribute positively to every student cooperative activity, while also fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility towards UKM KOPMA SUKMA and Entrepreneurship,” she explained.
Training Session 1 also included fun activities and was followed by the inauguration of prospective members as official members of the KOPMA SUKMA and Entrepreneurship Student Activity Unit for 2025/2026. This moment symbolized the commitment and responsibility of new members to actively participate in the journey of the KOPMA SUKMA and Entrepreneurship Student Activity Unit.
“This first training session was truly a memorable first experience. I learned a lot about the meaning of cooperatives, the importance of organization, and how to know myself so that I can grow together with KOPMA SUKMA,” said one of the new members of the KOPMA SUKMA and Entrepreneurship Student Activity Unit for 2025/2026.
