Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo (UMPWR) — Another proud achievement has been made by students on the international stage. The Fun Library and Counsellor Team, consisting of Revo Bagus Ardana (Psychology Study Programme), Tanti Trinawati (PGSD Study Program), and Ratri Nur Fauziah (PGSD Study Program) won a Gold Medal at the International Creative, Innovative, Robotic & Technology Competition (i-CIRO Tech'25) held in Kuala Lipis, Pahang, Malaysia on 15–16 October 2025.
This prestigious competition was organised by Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (SHAS) Al Mustain Billah Vocational College in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Pahang, Malaysia. The event was attended by participants from various countries with a focus on creative innovation, technology, and robotics.
The Fun Library and Counsellor Team from UMP presented an innovative work themed ‘Fun Library and Counsellor Programme’, which combines psychological and basic educational approaches in creating an attractive literacy and counselling environment for primary school children. The work was considered to have high creativity, relevance to educational development, and the potential to be applied in various educational institutions.
This team is under the guidance of Abdul Ngafif, M.Pd.B.I., a lecturer at UMPWR who acts as a mentor. Under his guidance, the team was able to develop innovative ideas that harmoniously integrate aspects of technology, education, and psychology.
The Rector of Muhammadiyah University Purworejo, Dr. Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd., expressed his appreciation and pride in this outstanding achievement.
‘We are very proud of the achievements of our students in this international event. This success shows that Muhammadiyah University Purworejo students have great potential to innovate, think creatively, and contribute at a global level. Hopefully, this achievement will inspire other students to continue to excel and bring pride to the university,’ he said.
This success is clear evidence that UMPWR remains committed to producing a competitive generation with international standing through innovation, collaboration, and dedication in both academic and non-academic fields.
