Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo (UMPWR) - A total of 65 students from the Faculty of Agriculture (FAPERTA) officially received their bachelor's degrees during the graduation ceremony held on Tuesday (14/10) at the Novotel Yogyakarta International Airport Hotel in Kulon Progo.
The graduation ceremony was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Roisu Eny Mudawaroch, S.Pt., M.P., the Head of the Agribusiness Study Programme, the Head of the Animal Husbandry Study Programme, and the academic community of FAPERTA UMPWR.
In his speech, Dr. Roisu Eny Mudawaroch congratulated and expressed his appreciation to all students who had successfully completed their academic studies. “The graduation ceremony is the final academic event at the faculty level for undergraduate students. After navigating various challenges, this is a day of triumph. We urge you to continue learning in all aspects and never forget your educators and alma mater. Respect your educators and nurture the bonds within the UMPWR family,” she stated.
On this occasion, the Dean of FAPERTA UMPWR officially graduated 65 students, consisting of 50 students from the Agribusiness Study Programme and 15 students from the Animal Husbandry Study Programme. Of the 65 students, there were 3 top graduates, namely Nuraeni Ayu Sukma with a GPA of 3.86 from the Animal Husbandry Study Program, Tsania Nisa Fuadiyah with a GPA of 3.86 from the Agribusiness Study Program, and Heni Prasetyoningsih with a GPA of 3.38 from the Agribusiness Study Program RPL Class.
On behalf of the graduation participants, Nuraeni Ayu Sukma and Tsania Nisa Fuadiyah expressed their deepest gratitude to the Dean, the Head of the Study Programme, and the academic community of the Faculty of Agriculture, UMPWR.
“Our journey at the Faculty of Agriculture, UMPWR, has been truly extraordinary. Throughout our education, we gained so many valuable experiences. We learned not only about the world of agriculture but also about instilling Islamic values and humanity in every step we took,” they stated.
Furthermore, they said that future challenges in agriculture will become increasingly complex. However, they believe that with the knowledge, experience, and values instilled in them during their studies, they will be ready to make a real contribution to agricultural development, improve the welfare of farmers, and support the nation's food security.
‘Let us take all the lessons and experiences we have gained during our time at this university as provisions for navigating the wider world. Remember, success does not come to those who are the fastest, but to those who are the most persistent and do not give up easily. Let us prove that UMPWR Faculty of Agriculture graduates are capable of becoming a generation that is resilient, creative, and noble,’ he said to the other graduates.
The ceremony was solemn yet joyful. The symbolic presentation of the Graduation Certificate marked the official commencement of the students’ journey as graduates, ready to enter the professional world or pursue further studies at a higher level.
All participants in the graduation ceremony will be part of the graduation procession to be held on Friday and Saturday, 24 and 25 October 2025, at the Kasman Singodimedjo Auditorium, UMPWR. This graduation ceremony also serves as a moment of reflection and hope, that graduates of the Faculty of Agriculture at UMPWR will continue to make positive contributions in the workplace, research, and community service, and become part of the solution to future agricultural challenges.
