Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo (UMPWR) held an Open Senate Meeting in conjunction with its 61st Anniversary Reception on Wednesday (24/9/2025) at the Kasman Singodimedjo Auditorium. This annual event serves as an important moment not only to reflect on the university's journey but also to recognise the achievements of its academic community.
During the event, UMPWR presented special awards to students, educational staff, and lecturers who have excelled in their dedication and contributions to enhancing the university's reputation.
The most memorable moment occurred when two educational staff members, Ken Dewanti HLS, S.Sos (Head of the General Affairs Bureau), and Rochmawati, S.Pd. (Head of the Secretariat and Protocol Division), were selected to receive free umrah pilgrimage packages from the university. This award serves as the highest form of recognition and motivation for all educational staff to continue working with enthusiasm and sincerity.
The Rector of UMPWR, Associate Professor Dr. Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd., said that this award is a manifestation of the university's commitment to fostering a culture of appreciation and improving the performance of all elements of the campus.
"This appreciation is not only a form of respect, but also motivation for students, lecturers, and teaching staff to continue to excel, work, and benefit society. For staff members who received the umrah prize, this is a prayer and hope that their dedication will become even more valuable as an act of worship," said the Rector.
The 61st Anniversary Open Senate Meeting of UMPWR was closed with a prayer of gratitude and hope that UMPWR will continue to progress and be able to produce a superior generation that will have an impact on the nation.
