Purworejo – The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Muhammadiyah University Purworejo (UMPWR) held its 2025-2 Graduation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 Academic Year on Monday, 22 September 2025, at the Kasman Singodimedjo Auditorium.
This graduation ceremony was attended by 302 graduates from 8 study programmes within FKIP UMPWR. The procession was solemn, attended by the Rector, faculty leaders, lecturers, educational staff, and graduates. These graduates will later participate in the first graduation ceremony of the 2025/2026 Academic Year on 25 October 2025.
Of the 302 graduates, Fatimah Cahyaningtyas from the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Programme became the graduate with the best academic achievement with a GPA of 3.92. The graduate with the best non-academic achievements was Reza Septia Handayani from the Mathematics Study Programme with a GPA of 3.50 and various achievements, including 2nd place in the Magelang Pencaksilat Championship, 2nd place in the Purworejo Regency IPSI Pencaksilat Championship, 3rd place in the Purworejo Sumber Alam Cup PS Championship, 3rd place in the Provincial Sports Selection from Purworejo Regency, and 2nd place in the Purworejo Regency PS.
The Rector of UMPWR, Associate Professor Dr. Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd., in his speech congratulated the graduates who had successfully completed their studies. He emphasised that FKIP UMPWR graduates are expected to be able to implement the knowledge they have acquired, become professional educators, and make a real contribution to the development of the nation.
‘This graduation ceremony is not the end of the journey, but the beginning of a new step to serve the community. Be graduates with noble character, competence, and bring honour to your alma mater,’ he said.
With the holding of this graduation ceremony, FKIP UMPWR reaffirms its commitment to producing a generation of outstanding educators who are ready to face the challenges of the world of work while contributing to the advancement of education in Indonesia.
