Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo (UMPWR) - Group 10 of the Thematic Community Service Program (KKN) organized an Awareness Campaign Against Insecurity and Personal Branding Training with the theme “Self-Love Era: Time to Be Confident and Build Your Personal Branding” in the village of Sidorejo, Purworejo District, Purworejo Regency. This activity aimed to provide education on mental health issues among teenagers (insecurity) and training on managing social media positively through personal branding.

The event, held on August 28, 2025, was attended by the secretary of Sidorejo village, Field Supervisor Hamas Bernadian, M.Psi, and 30 youth from the Sidorejo village youth organization as participants. The speaker was Rizki Eka Saputra, a student from the Psychology Program, Faculty of Psychology, Law, and Social Sciences, UMPWR.

The socialization and training activity began with opening remarks from the event coordinator, Alifatul Zahrina, followed by remarks from the village apparatus representative, Ida Zulaida, S.Pd, who serves as the village secretary.

“Thank you to the KKN students for organizing activities that are beneficial for teenagers in Sidorejo Village. Hopefully, these activities can broaden the horizons of our young people so that they can be more confident, love themselves, and be able to show their best potential. Hopefully, the knowledge gained today can be put into practice in everyday life,” he said.

Rizki Eka Saputra, as the speaker, delivered material on the importance of knowing oneself and building self-love. Participants were invited to understand the meaning of self-respect, accepting shortcomings, and realizing their potential. In this session, Rizki also raised the issue of insecurity often experienced by teenagers and provided an understanding of how to manage this lack of confidence so that it does not hinder personal development.

Furthermore, Rizki also provided personal branding training. Participants were given tips and tricks on how to present themselves positively in both daily life and on social media. This training included how to recognize one's strengths, build a positive image, and utilize one's abilities to support one's future. In addition, participants were also invited to do simple exercises such as mentioning their respective strengths and how to communicate them with confidence.

Several Karang Taruna youth also shared their personal experiences of insecurity, then received direct feedback from the speakers. The event closed with a reflection session, where each participant wrote down one positive thing about themselves on a piece of paper as a form of commitment to be more confident.

"I am very happy to be able to share with the Karang Taruna youth of Sidorejo Village. Adolescence is a challenging time, often accompanied by feelings of insecurity or low self-confidence. However, by learning to love ourselves and build our personal branding, we can be better prepared to face the future. I hope that the material presented today can serve as a foundation for continued growth and the belief that everyone has unique strengths," said Rizki Eka Saputra as he closed the outreach event.
