The Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo (UMPWR) team has successfully secured funding under the 2025 Budget for the Impactful Consortium Research Program (RIKUB) organized by the Directorate General of Research and Development, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek).
This is based on announcement Number 0923/C3/DT.05.00/2025 dated September 7, 2025, signed by I Ketut Adnyana as Director of Research and Community Service of the Directorate General of Research and Development of Kemdiktisaintek. There are 82 consortia that have passed the 2025 RIKUB funding.
This research is chaired by Dr. Andriani, M.Si. (Ahmad Dahlan University/UAD), involving two team leaders, namely Dr. Riawan Yudi Purwoko, M.Pd. (Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo/UMPWR) as Team Leader 1, and Dr. Muhammad Irfan, M.Pd. (Yogyakarta State University/UNY) as Team Leader 2. This flagship research is titled “Development of the Magenta Intelligent Robot: An AI-Based Interactive Game and Deep Learning to Improve Mathematical Reasoning in Sustainable Inclusive Education.”
This research program is expected to produce artificial intelligence (AI)-based technological innovations that support inclusive learning, particularly in improving students' mathematical reasoning skills through interactive games and intelligent robotics.
The success of the UMPWR team in this consortium is clear evidence of the contribution of Muhammadiyah universities in the national research arena, while also strengthening cross-university academic collaboration networks to produce research that has a broad impact on the world of education.
