Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo (UMPWR) – through its Bureau of Cooperation and International Affairs (KUI) – has achieved a proud accomplishment by securing a place in the top 5 of the 2025 LLDIKTI Region VI Higher Education Cooperation Award in the category of Higher Education Institutions with the Best Government/Non-Governmental Organisation Cooperation.

This award was given as a form of appreciation for UMPWR's consistency in expanding its partnership and collaboration network with the government, which supports the transformation of higher education, research, and community service. Dr. Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd, as Rector, continues to support UMPWR's efforts to become a campus that expands its cooperation network and has a significant impact. Dr. Tusino, M.Pd., Vice Rector IV for AIK and Cooperation at UMPWR, expressed his gratitude for once again being nominated as one of the top 5 in the LLDikti Region VI, thereby advancing to a direct presentation before the judges.

During the presentation of achievements, Head of KUI Dr. Jeki Wibawanti at the LLDIKTI VI office emphasised that this achievement was the result of the collective work of the entire Umpwr academic community in building a strategic collaborative network.

"This nomination is clear evidence that Umpwr is increasingly being recognised in the higher education collaboration ecosystem. KUI will continue to strengthen its role in building cooperation that supports the downstreaming of research, community service programmes and cooperation that benefits society," said Dr. Jeki.

Meanwhile, Head of Domestic Cooperation Galih Bagas Soesilo, S.H., LL.M. added that this success was also inseparable from the support of domestic partners, ranging from local governments, educational institutions, to the industrial world.

‘We are committed to maintaining and expanding our existing collaborative networks, as well as opening up new opportunities for innovation and broader cooperation,’ Galih emphasised.

With this achievement, UMPWR has further strengthened its position as an adaptive, innovative university that is open to cross-sector cooperation with the government and non-governmental organisations.
