Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo (UMPWR) demonstrates a strong commitment to expanding its international network and cooperation. UMPWR participated in the International Office Forum 2025, held from 18–20 August 2025 at Muhammadiyah University of Cirebon. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tusino, as Vice Rector IV of UMPWR for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, delegated the Head of the International Cooperation and Affairs Office (KUI), Dr. Jeki Wibawanti, to attend and actively participate in the forum.
The forum was attended by heads of KUI from various universities in Indonesia and was organised in collaboration between the KUI of Muhammadiyah University of Cirebon and the Association of International Affairs Offices (Askui) of Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah Higher Education Institutions (PTMA). During the forum, speakers from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Russia were present to share insights and explore opportunities for international collaboration.
The Head of KUI UMPWR, Dr. Jeki Wibawanti, said that this forum provides strategic benefits for the campus. ‘UMPWR's participation in this forum is a concrete manifestation of our efforts to build a global network and optimise opportunities for academic collaboration that are beneficial to lecturers and students,’ she said.
Through this forum, UMPWR also signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Southeast Bangkok University (SBU), Sahavith Business Administration Technological College (SBA) in Thailand, Kolej Komuniti Segamat in Malaysia, and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) in Russia. This collaboration focuses on developing academic fields relevant to global needs. UMPWR's participation in this international forum underscores the university's efforts to enhance global competitiveness and expand international access for its academic community.
