Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo (UMPWR) – The Quality Assurance Agency (LPM) of the university conducted a Non-Academic Internal Quality Audit (AMI) on Tuesday, 19 August 2025, as part of the preparation for Institutional Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions (AIPT).
The Non-Academic Internal Quality Audit was conducted in the seminar room of the eastern campus of the Rectorate Building, involving all university leadership, including Vice Rectors I, II, III, and IV, as well as institutions, offices, and units under their coordination. The audit aims to ensure that the governance system, administrative services, and implementation of non-academic quality standards are carried out in accordance with procedures, effectively, and sustainably.
The LPM Audit Team, led by Budiyanto, M.Sc., stated that this year's Non-Academic AMI instrument has been aligned with the Institutional Accreditation for Higher Education Institutions (AIPT) instrument. The conduct of the Non-Academic AMI is also a requirement that will be one of the evaluation criteria during the AIPT. The Non-Academic AMI will review areas that have not yet been achieved, providing time to complete and improve them in preparation for the AIPT.
The Rector of UMPWR, Associate Professor Dr. Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd., stated that the AMI Non-Academic activity is an annual agenda, which this year has been specifically designated as preparation for the AIPT (Academic Institution Accreditation) to be submitted in 2026 with the target of achieving the ‘Excellent’ ranking. The Rector hopes that this AMI Non-Academic activity will serve as a momentum for mutual collaboration towards collective progress and as a meeting point between auditors and auditees regarding the physical evidence that needs to be prepared to support the AIPT.
Additionally, through this audit, it is hoped that all units within UMPWR can enhance quality culture, address findings, and follow up on audit recommendations to achieve excellent, transparent, and accountable university governance. With the implementation of the Non-Academic AMI, UMPWR is increasingly confident in its steps toward achieving excellent institutional accreditation, in line with its vision of becoming an Inspiring and Empowering university.
