Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo (UMPWR) – In celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia and the 61st Anniversary of Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo (UMPWR), the academic community of UMPWR organised a Fun Plastic Volleyball Game between Faculty Members and Educational Staff (Tendik). The event took place in a lively atmosphere following the flag-raising ceremony commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia at the western campus field of UMPWR on Sunday (17/8/2025).
The fun game was participated in by faculty members and staff from various faculties and departments within UMPWR. Using plastic balls, the match was filled with camaraderie, laughter, and a spirit of unity.
The Rector of UMPWR, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd., stated that this event is not merely a form of entertainment but also a means to strengthen the bonds of camaraderie among the academic community. “Through simple activities like this, we aim to reinforce the spirit of cooperation, unity, and togetherness within the UMPWR family. May this spirit of togetherness continue to be a positive force in building the campus and the nation,” he said.
In addition to being a form of entertainment, this fun game is also part of the extended series of activities for UMPWR’s 61st anniversary, which began in early August and will continue until November 2025.
With the spirit of red and white and unity, this activity symbolises the unity of the UMPWR academic community in embracing Indonesia’s Golden Age and positioning UMPWR as an inspiring and empowering campus. (akb/KP).
