Purworejo, August 15, 2025 – Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) once again demonstrated its commitment to community service by participating as a supporting team for two proposals in the 2025 Kosabangsa Program. This activity is based on the Decision of the Director of Research and Community Service No. 0685/C3/DT.05.00/2025 dated August 13, 2025, regarding the Recipients of the Operational Assistance Program for State Universities under the Kosabangsa Program.

The UMPWR supporting team is led by Prof. Dr. Suyitno, M.Pd, with members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jeki Wibawanti, M.Eng., M.Si, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murry Harmawan, M.Sc. This year, the team will accompany two strategic collaboration partners, namely: Rajawali School of Economics (STIE), Purworejo, with the program title: Development of Disaster-Resilient Villages: Application of Landslide Detection Tools and Solar-Powered Coffee Processing Systems in Donorejo Village, Purworejo.

Additionally, UMPWR serves as the University of General Achmad Yani Yogyakarta's Supporting Team for the program titled: “Enhancing Local Premium Food Products and Preventing Stunting through the Application of IoT-Based Drying Technology and Smart Shelters for Extremely Poor Communities.”

UMPWR's participation in these two programs is a concrete manifestation of the university's commitment to fostering cross-institutional collaboration and advancing the commercialization of research outcomes for the community, particularly through the application of appropriate technology and sustainable empowerment.

“This program is not just about technology transfer, but also about building community capacity to become self-reliant, resilient, and able to leverage their regional potential in the digital age,” said Prof. Dr. Suyitno, M.Pd, as the Head of the Supporting Team.

With the support and synergy between higher education institutions, industry partners, and the community, it is hoped that these two programs will have a significant positive impact on the well-being and sustainability of village development.
