Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo (UMPWR) - In line with the vision of becoming an entrepreneurial campus by 2030, UMPWR continues to make improvements. One of these efforts is to create an entrepreneurial culture and enhance competitiveness, with UMPWR collaborating with three other universities to initiate the PLUT Academy programme. PLUT Academy is a programme under the Integrated Business Service Centre (PLUT) of the Cooperative, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Trade Office of Purworejo Regency, where students with business ideas will undergo a bootcamp led by SME consultants and academics from the university. The programme is designed for 10 sessions with 20 agreed-upon topics.
Susi Widjajani, M.Si, Head of the Entrepreneurship and Business Incubator Unit (UKIB) at UMPWR, stated that the PLUT Academy serves as an educational platform for students with business ideas. The 10 students sent by UMPWR for training are expected to develop their business ideas further. Additionally, Susi hopes that PLUT Academy alumni will contribute positively to the university's achievements through programs such as P2MW, PKM-K, or the PPK Ormawa village entrepreneurship scheme.
Hadi Pranoto, Head of the Purworejo Regency KUKMP Office, expressed his appreciation to four universities for their participation in the opening of the PLUT Academy 2025. This is the first time we have done this, and I hope that PLUT and the KUKMP Office can become a home not only for MSMEs but also for students who are starting businesses. As the younger generation's businesses grow, insha'Allah Purworejo will also progress, and as Purworejo progresses, insha'Allah Indonesia will also advance.
The PLUT Academy 2025 was attended by 40 participants from four universities in Purworejo Regency: UMPWR, Polsa, IAI An-nawawi, and STIE Rajawali. The programme will conclude with a mini-expo showcasing products created by the students.
