Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo (UMPWR) – through its Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG) – once again held the Second Phase of the 2025 PPG Teacher Orientation Program (In-Service) for PPG students. The event was held online on Thursday, August 31, 2025, and was attended by participants from various regions across Indonesia.
The orientation aims to provide initial understanding to PPG students regarding the learning system, activity flow, as well as various regulations and academic ethics that must be followed throughout the program. Additionally, the event serves as an introduction to the digital-based learning system implemented by UMPWR in conducting the PPG program.
In his opening remarks, PPG Coordinator Dr. Yuli Widiyono, M.Pd., stated that 570 students had registered and participated in the PPG Orientation, hailing from various regions across Indonesia, from Aceh to Papua. “The participants of the 2025 PPG for Specific Teachers Phase II come from all over Indonesia, with the largest number from West Java, totaling 181 participants,” he explained.

“According to information from the Ministry of Education and Culture, only certified teachers are allowed to teach in formal education. Therefore, by participating in the PPG and obtaining a teaching certificate, you will reap the benefits,” he explained.
