Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) — A total of 26 students and 5 accompanying lecturers from the Law Programme of the Faculty of Social Sciences conducted a Field Study Trip (KKL) to Jakarta as part of a practice-based learning programme, from Monday to Thursday, 21–24 July 2025. The KKL included visits to three high-level state institutions in the fields of law and governance: the Constitutional Court (MK), the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), and the Election Supervisory Board (DKPP).

During the first visit to the Constitutional Court (MK), students had the opportunity to observe a copyright infringement hearing involving artist Lesti Kejora. This activity provided direct insight into the mechanisms of constitutional-level court proceedings and the importance of legal protection for intellectual property in Indonesia.

Next, during the visit to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), KKL participants attended a discussion session on the concept of ‘corruption gravity,’ which refers to how corruption can occur systematically and efforts to prevent it through anti-corruption education and institutional transparency.

Meanwhile, at the Election Organizers Honorary Council (DKPP), students received an in-depth presentation on the ethics of election organizers and the role of the DKPP in maintaining the integrity of democracy and ensuring fair and honest elections in Indonesia.

This activity aims to broaden students' understanding of legal practices within state institutions firsthand, as well as foster critical awareness and professionalism in comprehending legal processes at the national level. The Law Programme at UMPWR continues to encourage students not only to learn in the classroom but also to experience the dynamics of law and governance in the field as preparation for the professional world.
