Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo (UMPWR) has once again achieved a remarkable accomplishment. The Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG) at UMPWR has successfully obtained an ‘Excellent’ accreditation rating from the Independent Education Accreditation Agency (LAMDIK). This is based on LAMDIK Decision Letter No. 1112/SK/LAMDIK/Ak/P/VII/2025 dated 22 July 2025, valid until 2 March 2030.
This achievement was announced following a field assessment conducted on 11–12 June 2025 and a comprehensive evaluation of the programme's quality, curriculum, human resources, facilities, and academic quality assurance system.
The Rector of UMPWR, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd., expressed gratitude and high appreciation to the entire PPG team, lecturers, educational staff, and relevant parties for their hard work and commitment.
‘Alhamdulillah, this “Very Good” accreditation is the result of synergy, collective work, and UMPWR's dedication to improving the quality of teacher education in Indonesia. This serves as new motivation for us to continue providing professional education services that are excellent and relevant to the needs of the times,’ he said.
The Coordinator of the PPG at UMPWR, Dr. Yuli Widiyono, M.Pd., also noted that this accreditation outcome serves as evidence that UMPWR is capable of competing in providing high-quality and highly competitive teacher education programmes.
With this achievement, UMPWR further strengthens its position as a higher education institution committed to producing professional, competent, and character-driven teachers in the country. (akb/KP)
