Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) - Assoc. Rector. Prof. Dr. Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd., became a guest speaker at the School Environment Introduction Period (MPLS) of Logaritma IT High School in Sempor, Kebumen, on Wednesday, 16 July 2025. On this occasion, he delivered material in the Inspirational Class session which was attended by all new students for the 2025/2026 academic year.
With great enthusiasm, the Rector of UMPWR shared stories of his life journey, values of struggle, and the importance of having big dreams and strong character in the global era. In front of the students, he emphasised that the future of the nation is in the hands of young people with integrity, knowledge and morals.
"Be students who are not only intellectually intelligent, but also have the character and spirit to continue learning and developing. Never get tired of dreaming, because the future belongs to those who are serious," he said in his presentation.

Furthermore, the rector also explained the developments at UMPWR, including UMPWR which is the best campus in the ex-Karisidenan kedu version of 3 ranking agencies at once, namely Webometrics, Edurank, and 4ICU. The Rector advised the new students that after graduating from high school in the next 3 years, they should continue their education to the university level, and not necessarily study at a state campus. "After graduating tomorrow, try to continue your studies. PTN and PTS are the same. Both have the same quality and achievements. Moreover, at UMPWR there is an opportunity to study for free until graduation through the KIP-K scholarship route," he explained.
This activity is part of SMA IT Logaritma's efforts to present inspirational figures to foster students' learning motivation and fighting spirit from an early age. The presence of the UMPWR Rector was warmly welcomed by the principal, teachers, and all MPLS participants. This activity is also part of the cooperation and synergy between SMA IT Logaritma Sempor and Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo in the field of education and young generation development. (akb/KP).
