Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) - The Teacher Professional Education (PPG) programme has once again demonstrated its commitment in producing professional and competent teachers. This is evidenced by the successful implementation of the PPG Teacher Candidate Competency Test (UKP) Batch II which was carried out smoothly and orderly on Wednesday (25/6) to Saturday (28/6). The UKP PPG was attended by 91 students who were held in the computer laboratory of the Integrated Laboratory Building, Campus II Plaosan UMPWR.
The implementation of UKP PPG at UMPWR received direct appreciation from the Education Testing Management Centre (BP3) of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen). BP3 assessed that UMPWR had organised UKP PPG very well, met quality standards, and upheld integrity and professionalism.
As the first organiser at the national level, UMPWR received assistance from the Ministry of Education and Culture's BP3 team to ensure smooth implementation. Dr Mansur Fauzi, SE, M.Si. as an assistant from BP3 said that the implementation of the exam went well without any significant obstacles.
"The internet network was smooth, everything went according to plan. The exam results will be processed by the centre, and hopefully all participants can pass," he said.

The Head of the UMPWR PPG Study Programme, Dr Yuli Widiyono, M.Pd., explained that the UKP PPG consists of two components, namely the Computer-Based Writing Test (UTBK) and the performance test. He explained that after this UTBK, students will take the performance test in the form of portfolio assessment which includes learning tools, learning videos, and also interview sessions. The announcement of the UKP PPG results is expected to come out simultaneously nationally at the end of July 2025. UMPWR hopes that all students can successfully pass this stage and are ready to become qualified professional teachers.
Dean of FETT Dr Riawan Yudi Purwoko, M.Pd. said that this success could not be separated from the cooperation of all parties. "Starting from the team of lecturers, technicians, supervisors, to UKP participants, all have worked well together to ensure that the entire series of competency tests runs according to procedures. We are also grateful for BP3's trust in UMPWR as a place to conduct UKP," he said.
The Competency Test for PPG Participants is the final stage that must be passed by prospective teachers to obtain an educator certificate. Participants who take part in the UKP come from various regions in Indonesia and have followed a series of teacher professional education.
The appreciation from BP3 confirms UMPWR's position as one of the trusted LPTK (Educational Institutions for Educational Personnel) in Indonesia that is consistent in maintaining the quality of educational services, especially in the PPG programme. With this success, UMPWR is ready to welcome the implementation of the next wave of PPG and continues to be committed to producing superior, professional, and globally competitive educators in accordance with the vision and mission of the campus.
