Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) - Lecturer of the Automotive Engineering Education Study Program and Head of the Quality Assurance Agency (LPM), Prof. Dr. Suyitno, M.Pd., became a presenter at the In House Training (IHT) Workshop with the theme "Deep Learning & Teaching Revolution: From Basic Competencies to Future Competencies" for teachers of SMK TI Kartika Cendikia Purworejo on Wednesday, 25 June 2025. The activity was held in the DKV Drawing Room of SMK TI Kartika Cendikia Purworejo and was attended by 24 teachers. In addition to Prof Suyitno, the workshop was also attended by Achmad Chamdani, S.Pd, M.Pd., as the SMK Supervisor from the Regional Education Office Branch VIII Central Java.
This workshop was organised with the aim of introducing deep learning (PM) and how to create Deep Learning-based teaching modules. . The event was officially opened by the SMK Supervisor from the Central Java Region VIII Education Office Branch, Achmad Chamdani, S.Pd., M.Pd. In his remarks, he expressed his appreciation for the school's enthusiasm in developing the quality of educators. Furthermore, the main speaker Prof. Dr Suyitno, M.Pd. from UMPWR explained the concept and practice of deep learning to prepare students with relevant and meaningful competencies, in line with the theme of the training.
The Principal of SMK TI Kartika Cendekia Purworejo, Agus Setya Ardianto, A.Md., also expressed his excitement to be able to bring a professor from UMPWR to share experiences and knowledge related to the application of the theme "Deep Learning Teaching Revolution: From Basic Competence to Future Competence". The IHT participants were very enthusiastic and ready to implement deep learning methods in the teaching and learning process, in order to improve the quality and competitiveness of students in facing the needs and challenges of evolving technology.
