Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) - PK IMM Ibnu Sina held the 3rd Session of Article Writing Class "Methods, Results and Discussion" with Prof. Dr. Suyitno, M.Pd., on Wednesday, 18 June 2025. Located in the East Campus Seminar Room. The event started at 09.00 to 11.00 with 15 participants from UMPWR students.
Prof. Dr. Suyitno, M.Pd., who is a UMPWR Professor as well as Head of LPM and PTO Study Program Lecturer, began with a discussion of research methods in writing scientific articles. Prof. Suyitno explained one of the research methods, namely expost facto, which is used to examine the cause-and-effect relationship of an event that occurs. The discussion continued by explaining the Results and Discussion in writing scientific articles.
"The discussion in the article must be linear with the problem formulation in the introduction. The narrative in the discussion chapter must have a clear source. Authors are prohibited from expressing personal opinions that have no clear source," he explained.
The participants were quite enthusiastic about this session, where the participants listened and were accompanied by direct practice through their respective laptops. There are still several other sessions that will be held until participants can produce draft articles that are ready to be published. (edt.Akb/KP)
