Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) - A total of 16 teams of lecturers from various Study Programmes have successfully passed as recipients of funding for the 2025 Research and Community Service Programme from the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DPPM), Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek). This success is stated in the Announcement of Kemdiktisaintek Number 0070/C3/AL.04/2025 dated 23 May 2025 signed by the Director of Research and Community Service, I Ketut Adnyana.
This funding is part of the government's efforts to encourage the improvement of the quality of research and community service in higher education, as well as to strengthen the role of lecturers in making a real contribution to society through scientific and applicative activities.
UMPWR Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd., expressed his appreciation and pride for the lecturers' achievements. ‘This is a proud achievement and shows UMPWR's strong commitment in supporting the tri dharma of higher education, especially in the field of research and community service,’ he said. This is not merely about funding or numbers, but about how research and community service from UMPWR lecturers can provide benefits and contribute to the progress and development of the nation.
The details of the funding obtained are Postgraduate Research - Master Thesis (PPS-TM) 5 lecturers, Regular Fundamental Research (PFR) 7 lecturers, Applied Research - Prototype Output (PT-LP) 1 lecturer, and Community Service (Community Partnership Empowerment) (PKM) 3 lecturers. This achievement is expected to encourage other lecturers to continue to develop innovations and academic contributions that benefit the wider community.
