University of Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) - Dr Sapardiyono, M.H., who is a lecturer in the Law Study Program, became a resource person at the Consequence Test of the List of Exempt Information (DIK) of PPID Purworejo Regency 2025. The activity, which was held in the Autonomous Room of the Regional Secretariat of Purworejo Regency, was attended by Information and Documentation Management Officers (PPID) Sub-districts in Purworejo Regency and PPID Offices / agencies / BUMD Purworejo Regency.

Law No. 14/2008 on Public Information Disclosure was enacted to guarantee the right of every citizen to access information related to state administration. With this law, it is expected that the public can more actively participate in monitoring and providing input on public policies. In addition, this law also aims to improve the professionalism of information management by public bodies, realise a government that is clean and free from corruption, collusion and nepotism, and support the development of science and social innovation.

Dr Sapardiyono, M.H., explains that however, the law also makes it clear that not all information can be freely disclosed. ‘There are categories of information that are exempted because they may endanger the interests of the state, violate individual privacy, or harm national economic resilience. Information such as business secrets, personal data, and documents related to law enforcement must be protected and can only be accessed through certain procedures,’ he explained.
