The Faculty of Economics (FE) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) held the 45th Yudisium of Management study program students on Wednesday (23/4). Located at Morazen Hotel Kulon Progo Yogyakarta, the event was attended by Vice Rector 1 Dr. Dwi Irawati, S.E., M.S.i., CRMP, Dean of FE Dr. Intan Puspitasari, S.E., M.Sc., Head of Management Study Program Dr. Hardin, S.P., M.M., lecturers, staff and HIMA of FE Management study program.
The graduation procession began with the reading of the Dean's Decree followed by the submission of a graduation certificate by the Dean. A total of 66 Management study program students were officially declared graduates and 5 of them won the title of best graduates, namely Fifah Ulya Khoerunisa with a GPA of 3.85, Melinda Mar'atus Solihah with a GPA of 3.85, Risma Bella Choirunnisa Fitriana with a GPA of 3.77, Fatmaul Dyah Ngazizah with a GPA of 3.74 and Retno Arum with a GPA of 3.73. To the best graduates, an award was given by the Dean of FE Dr. Intan Puspitasari, S.E., M.Sc. accompanied by Head of Management Department Dr. Hardin, S.P., M.M.
Vice Rector 1 Dr. Dwi Irawati, S.E., M.S.i., CRMP in her speech advised that after going through the entire lecture process on campus, there must be lessons to be learned.
“Mental toughness must be a character that is inherent in you as a form of maturation after you process during college at UMPWR”, she said.
She hopes that graduates will be able to contribute the knowledge gained from lecturers.
“Because of your challenge after leaving the campus gate, either to share or increase personal capacity and still have a moral responsibility to develop yourself and maintain the good name of the alma mater,” she added.
In line with this, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Dr. Intan Puspitasari, S.E., M.Sc., also hopes that after leaving the Faculty of Economics with alumni status, to continue to work together, establish friendships, and implement the knowledge gained from the Faculty of Economics.
“The knowledge and skills you have are always needed by the interests of society,” she said.
The event then continued with motivation by the Head of the Yogyakarta Office of the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Irfan Noor Riza with the theme “Ready to Step from College Bench to the World of Work”. In his presentation, Irfan Noor Riza emphasized the importance of good financial literacy for the community, especially in the midst of the rapid growth of the digital economy.
“The capital market is not only for large investors, but can also be accessed by the general public, including MSMEs, as a means of funding and business development,” he said.
Furthermore, his party opens very wide opportunities for UMPWR graduates, especially from the Faculty of Economics, to pursue a career at the Indonesia Stock Exchange Office.
