Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) - A total of 43 students from the Faculty of Agriculture (Faperta) consisting of the Agribusiness Study Programme and the Animal Husbandry Study Programme officially graduated in the agenda of the Yudisium of the Undergraduate Program Period II Academic Year 2024/2025. The graduation ceremony was held at Novotel Yogyakarta International Airport Kulon Progo Hotel on Tuesday, 22 April 2025.
The agenda was attended by the Dean of Faperta UMPWR Dr. Roisu Eny Mudawaroch, S.Pt., M.P, Head of Agribusiness Study Program, Head of Animal Husbandry Study Program, and academicians of Faperta UMPWR. On this occasion, the dean of Faperta UMPWR graduated 31 students from the Agribusiness Study Programme and 12 students from the Animal Husbandry Study Programme.
Dean of Faperta UMPWR, Dr Roisu Eny Mudawaroch, S.Pt., M.P in his speech said that the graduation was the last academic event at the faculty level passed at the undergraduate level. ‘During your studies we have provided knowledge, and delivered it to the dock, after that prepare to sail with all the dynamics of the real world. Always remember the alma mater to maintain harmony,’ he said.
The best graduates of Faperta UMPWR in this period are Wanda Aulia with a GPA of 3.80 from the Agribusiness Study Programme, Ratih Wijaya with a GPA of 3.62 from the RPL Class Agribusiness Study Programme, and Aditya Prasetya with a GPA of 3.85 from the Animal Husbandry Study Programme. Aditya Prasetya graduated through a non-thesis path, taking an alternative path in the form of a final project for the publication of articles in scientific journals.
Representing the graduation participants, Wanda Aulia and Aditya Prasetya expressed their deepest gratitude to the Dean, Head of Study Programmes, and the academic community of Faculty of Agriculture UMPWR. Both conveyed the message that being part of the Faculty of Agriculture UMPWR is a matter of pride. ‘This is where we learn not only about agricultural theory and practice, but also about responsibility and togetherness. We also learnt how to work in teams, strategise, the importance of creativity, independence, and the courage to take risks. Let's take all the lessons and experiences from this campus as provisions to navigate the wider world,’ explained the two best graduates of Faperta.
The activity ended with the presentation of souvenirs to the best graduating students. All current graduation participants will be part of the graduation procession which will be held next Saturday, 3 May 2025 at the UMPWR Kasman Singodimedjo Auditorium.
