University of Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) - through its Lazismu Service Office gave Ramadan love gifts to the cleaning service and contract employees at UMPWR. The presentation of the Ramadan love gift was held in the East Campus Seminar Room of the Rectorate Building on Friday, 21 March 2025 / 21 Ramadan 1446 H in the afternoon.
Head of Lazismu KL UMPWR Ari Fajar Isbakhi, M.Pd.I., said that although the Ramadan love gifts given were not many and expensive, but InsyaAllah blessings for the recipients and their families. Ari Fajar also thanked the lecturers and education staff at UMPWR who have made infaq and shodaqoh and entrusted their infaq / shodakoh to be managed by Lazismu KL UMPWR. Furthermore, Ari Fajar said that the income in Lazismu KL UMPWR has always increased, and is disbursed not only for the education sector but also for cleaning services and contract employees. The Head of Lazismu UMPWR hopes that next year the number of Ramadan love gifts will also increase.
Vice Chancellor IV for Cooperation and Academic Affairs, Dr Tusino, M.Pd.B.I., in his speech said that the gift of Ramadan love is, God willing, a blessing not only for the recipients but also for UMPWR. WR IV thanked the cleaning service for their dedication at UMPWR so that the campus looks neat and clean.
‘This Ramadan Love Gift is a form of compassion from UMPWR through Lazismu, so that it will strengthen the relationship between cleaning services and contract employees with the university, as well as the relationship between personal employees,’ he explained.
WR IV also said that the majority of infaq / shodakoh in Lazismu UMPWR is allocated for scholarships, so that if there are employees who have sons / daughters can apply for scholarships to Lazismu UMPWR by fulfilling the established criteria.
Furthermore, WR IV hopes that with this activity the cleaning service and contract employees can be more ayem, steady working at UMPWR, and also further increase their commitment to work, in cleaning the rooms. WR IV advised that in working to intend to worship. ‘Intend the work as worship, because if it is intended solely for work, then there will be things that are not as expected by all of you’, he concluded.
