Universitas Muhamamdiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) - Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) launched the Learning Resource Centre (PSB) and New Micro Teaching Laboratory on Tuesday, 18 March 2025. The event was attended by UMPWR Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd., Vice Rector I Dr. Dwi Irawati, S.E., M.Si., Dean of FETT, and Heads of Study Programmes in FETT.
The event was opened by the Dean of FETT, Dr Riawan Yudi Purwoko, M.Pd., in the meeting room of FETT. Dr Riawan said that the PSB and Micro Teaching Lab were the result of the hard work of all lecturers. These two new rooms are a follow-up to the LPTK Revitalisation Grant, where UMPWR opened Teacher Professional Education (PPG) since 2023 and then started from a consortium to stand alone. With the establishment of PPG UMPWR, there are additional study programmes and facilities.
‘Currently, PPG UMPWR will add 3 new fields of study, namely PGSD, Economic Education, and Javanese Language Education. In addition to the addition of study fields, PSB and Micro Teaching Lab are examples of additional facilities at UMPWR,’ he explained.

The Dean of FKIP said that the Micro Teaching Lab was made in accordance with the standards and SOPs of LAMDIK. ‘It has been checked, and we follow the patterns and standards given by LAMDIK. Hopefully, the facilities are considered sufficient’, he added.
UMPWR Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd., in his speech said that PSB has more complete facilities than the library. ‘PSB is more complete, as a media centre so that all existing media can be included in PSB. So I hope PSB can collaborate well with the laboratories in UMPWR and also with the UMPWR Library,’ he explained.
The Rector congratulated FKIP UMPWR for officially having new facilities (PSB and New Lab. Micro teaching). The Rector hopes that the space can provide comprehensive benefits for students, lecturers, and education personnel, including the general public.
‘The general public is also allowed to access it, for example teachers. This is also part of campus promotion’, he added.
The activity continued with a ribbon cutting by the Rector to mark the launching of the PSB room and New Lab. Micro teaching. With the ribbon cutting, the two rooms were officially opened as new facilities at UMPWR (Akb/KP).
