Withdrawal of UMPWR Students from the International KKN-Internship Programme at UiTM Malaysia

Raub, Malaysia, 14 March 2025 - A total of 11 students from Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) have completed the Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN)-International Internship programme at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Cawangan Pahang Campus Raub, Malaysia. The programme, which ran from 16 February 2025 to 14 March 2025, involved UMPWR students in various activities at Sekolah Menengah Agama Al-Ulum Addiniah (Dong, Raub), Sekolah Menengah Agama Al-Falah Batu Talam (Raub), Sekolah Rendah Integrasi Teras Islam (SRITI) Al-Fateh (Raub), and Jabatan Pertanian Raub (KIV).

The student withdrawal ceremony was held online on 14 March 2025, coinciding with a breakfasting event at the UiTM Cawangan Pahang Campus, Raub Campus. The event was attended by a number of dignitaries, including Prof. Madya Dr. Nazirah Ramli, Timbalan Rektor Hal Ehwal Akademik UiTM; Dr. Saharani Abdul Rashid, Penolong Rektor UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub; and Associate Prof. Dr. Teguh Wibowo, Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo. Also present at this event were the supervisors, representatives of partner institutions, and all other invited guests.


In her speech, Prof Madya Dr Nazirah Ramli expressed her appreciation for the collaboration between UiTM and UMPWR. She emphasised the importance of this programme in broadening students' international horizons and experiences, as well as strengthening the relationship between the two institutions. Meanwhile, Associate Prof. Dr Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd. expressed his gratitude to UiTM for the opportunity given to UMPWR students. He hopes that this programme can be continued and developed in the future, not only for students but also for lecturers and education staff.

During the KKN-Internship programme, UMPWR students were involved in various educational, social, and religious activities at partner schools, as well as agricultural activities at Jabatan Pertanian Raub. They also had the opportunity to learn about Malaysian culture and interact directly with the local community. The withdrawal ceremony was closed with a warm and intimate iftar, marking the success of the programme and strengthening the relationship between UiTM and UMPWR. Both parties are committed to continuing to collaborate in various fields in the future. (AA/KUI)
