Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) - in the Webometrics version of campus ranking January 2025 edition managed to maintain the title of the top 10 best universities in Central Java. In Central Java, UMPWR ranked 10th under Undip, UNS, Unsoed, UMS, UKSW, Unnes, Unisula, Udinus, and Unimus.
UMPWR also confirmed as the best university in ex-Karisidenan Kedu (Purworejo, Kebumen, Magelang, Wonosobo and Temanggung). For fellow private universities Private Universities (PTS) in Central Java, UMPWR is ranked 6th. As for among fellow Muhammadiyah/Aisyiyah Universities in Indonesia, UMPWR is ranked12th. This result also confirms UMPWR as the 3rd best PTMA campus in Central Java only under UMS and Unimus.
Nationally, UMPWR is ranked 93rd (in the top 100). There are four indicators used by Webometrics in assessing university rankings, namely presence, visibility impact, openness, and excellence. (akb/KP).
