Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) - Lazismu UMPWR Service Office conducted the presentation of Lazismu scholarships to 13 students on Thursday, 27 February 2025. Located in the main meeting room, the Lazismu scholarship was attended by the Rector of UMPWR Assoc. Prof. Dr Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd., Head of Lazismu KL UMPWR Ari Fajar Isbakhi, M.Pd.I., Amil Lazismu UMPWR and 13 scholarship recipients.
The thirteen Lazizmu scholarship recipients will receive a 100% tuition fee scholarship, which will be evaluated annually. Of the thirteen students, 6 students are new scholarship recipients. ‘Alhamdulillah, this year there is an increase in the number of students receiving Lazismu scholarships, which is usually 3 people, 4 people, currently increasing to 6 people. Hopefully the following year will also continue to grow,’ said the Head of Lazismu KL UMPWR Ari Fajar Isbakhi, M.Pd.I. Ari Fajar also said that the development in Lazismu KL UMPWR has increased regarding the number of incoming infaq, especially from UMPWR lecturers and staff.
UMPWR Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd hopes that the Lazismu scholarship recipients will receive scholarships until the completion of their studies. ‘Hopefully this Lazismu scholarship can ease the financial burden of tuition fees for the parents of the students’, he hoped.
Muchammad Fardi S, one of the Lazismu scholarship recipients, said that many things could be taken from this activity, including the opportunity to build relationships with other participants, get motivation to be more enthusiastic, especially in lectures, and the opportunity to get to know what Lazismu is.
