Purworejo, February 18, 2025 - Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) successfully held a TOP 36 Soft Skill Canvas work assessment event as part of the 2025 student soft skill development program. The event was held at the Kasman Singodimejo Auditorium and attended by lecturers, judges, and UMPWR 3rd semester students.
The Soft Skill Canvas program is UMPWR's flagship initiative to prepare students to face challenges in the world of work and society. Through this program, students are invited to develop non-technical skills such as communication, leadership, creativity, collaboration, and adaptability. This year, 36 best works from UMPWR students made it to the final assessment stage.
The assessment process was conducted by a team of judges, namely Mr. Didik Widiyantono, M. Agr. (UMPWR Agribusiness lecturer) and Mrs. Susi Widjajani, S.E., M.Si. (UMPWR Management lecturer). The participants in the group made presentations of their work and continued with questions and answers with the jury team. The assessed works included various projects and initiatives that demonstrate the development of student soft skills, such as mentoring programs, social activities, collaborative projects, and innovations in problem solving.
The event was also filled with performances from participating students through a talent show featuring their best voices by singing songs in front of the stage.
With the success of this event, UMPWR reaffirmed its commitment in producing graduates who are not only competent in academics, but also have character and soft skills that are ready to face global challenges.
