Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) - Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd., and Vice Rector III (WR III) Dr. Budi Setiawan, S.Sos., M.Si., released the Student Activity Unit (UKM) of Surya Sagiita Choir which will participate in the national competition Swara Saraswati II Festival on Monday, 10 February 2025. The Swara Saraswati II Festival will be held at Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta from 11-14 February 2025. A total of 23 personnel from Surya Sagitta UKM UMPWR went to the competition.
Swara Saraswati II Festival is a national competition that will compete in various branches of voice from various age levels. The competitions are Solo Vocal Classical Youth and Adult; Solo Vocal Pop Children, Youth and Adult; Young Choir; Religious Music Choir; to Children, Youth, Adult Choir; and Folk Song Choir. UMPWR Surya Sagitta Choir will participate in the Religious Music Choir competition which will be held on 13 February 2025.
Previously, as a preparation for the national competition of Festival Swara Saraswati II, UKM PSM Surya Sagitta had held a pre-competition concert going to ‘Festival Swara Saraswati II’ which was held at the Kasman Singodimedjo Auditorium on Sunday, 2 February 2025.
Marisna Aprilia Rahma Putri as the Head of UKM PSM Surya Sagitta UMPWR asked for support and blessings from the Rector and WR III for smoothness and success in participating in the competition. The Rector, WR III, and the entire UMPWR academic community fully support and pray that Surya Sagitta UKM will successfully achieve the best results in participating in the Swara Saraswati II Festival.
