Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) - signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) and Implementation of Action (IA) with Dongseo University Korea on Tuesday, 4 February 2025. The signing of the cooperation document was signed in Room 701, GKB 1 - Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (UNIMUS) together with other Muhammadiyah / 'Aisyiyah Universities in Indonesia. The UMPWR delegates who attended were the Head of the International Cooperation Section, Abdul Ngafif, M.Pd.B.I., who in this case represented the Assoc. Rector. Prof. Dr Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd.
The signing of the cooperation between the two universities was carried out by the Dean of the International Affairs Office of Dongseo University Korea, Keeneth Hahn and Vice Rector IV UMPWR, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tusino, M.Pd., B.I., as well as between UMPWR Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd., with the President of Dongseo University Korea, Prof. Dr. Jekuk Chang. Both Universities agreed to carry out academic collaboration through student mobility programs, lecturer mobility, research collaboration, Postgraduate Programs, and support the strengthening of the University of Asia Alliance (UAA), and other possible cooperation that will be agreed upon and determined by both parties.
One of the main points of Dongseo University Korea's visit to Indonesia, especially UNIMUS to establish cooperation with PTMA including UMPWR is to strengthen the Asian Alliance University (UAA) or Asia Alliance University (AAU) which aims to jointly consider regional and global issues in the fields of higher education, economy, science and technology development through strengthening cooperation between member institutions.
