Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) continues to be committed in carrying out the campus internationalization program. Starting the year 2025, UMPWR under the direction of the Vice Rector (WR) IV for Cooperation with the Office of the International Affairs Cooperation Bureau (KUI) expanded the network of cooperation with campuses in Europe, namely with Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University (NSPU), Russia.
The signing of the UMPWR campus MoU was attended by the Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd; WR I Dr. Dwi Irawati, S.E., M.Si., CRMP; WR IV Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tusino, M.Pd Head of KUI Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jeki Wibawanti, Vice Dean of FKIP Dr. Herlina, M.Pd, Head of Foreign Cooperation Abdul Ngafif, M.Pd, Head of Domestic Cooperation, Head of Physics Education Study Program Dr. Arif Maftukhin, M.Pd, and Edy Sunjanto, M.Pd one of the UMPWR English Education lecturers who received a Ph.D scholarship at the NSPU campus so as to build good communication between the two institutions.
The MoU signing was attended by NSPU officials including: Prof. Dr. Tatyana A.Romm (Vice-Rector for Scientific work), Prof. Dr. Ekaterina A. Kostina (Dean of the Faculty of Foreign language), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Irina Vitalievna Arkhipova (Director of the Institute of Management and Social Communications); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Svetlana Vasilievna Geybuka (Acting Director of the Institute of Physics, Mathematics, Information and Technology Education); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Sergeevna Vereschagina (Head of the Physics Department); Assoc. Prof. Ekaterina Igorevna Barancheeva (Head of the International Affairs and Academic Mobility Department). Prof. Dr. Tatyana said that NSPU is pleased to sign the MoU and cooperate with the UMPWR campus and is interested in visiting Indonesia.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd said that starting this year by expanding and strengthening the relationship between UMPWR and NSPU, among others related to research collaboration, international mobility, and Scopus journal publications.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tusino stated that the collaboration with NSPU is an expansion of cooperation to Europe after last year with Altai State Pedagogical University, Russia, including later holding online Guest Lecture activities between the two campuses.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jeki Wibawanti also added that the initiation of cooperation from 2024 was finally able to sign the MoU in early 2025. Hopefully after signing the MoU, research collaboration between UMPWR lecturers and NSPU will be realized and students of Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University, Russia can carry out Summer Camp on the UMPWR campus.
