Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) - The Economics Education Student Association (HIMAPNOMI) under the auspices of the Economics Education Study Program successfully held a socialisation packaged in the PKM Student Grant Seminar on Tuesday, 5 November 2024 in the Seminar Room at UMPWR East Campus. This socialisation is one of the activities held by universities in collaboration with study programs to provide information about the Student Creativity Program (PKM) so that it can encourage students to develop creative and innovative ideas in various fields. This activity was attended by the Head of the Study Programme, all lecturers, and staff of the Economic Education TU. And attended by around 127 participants, consisting of active students of Economic Education semester 1, 3, & 5 and general participants. Economic Education is the first study programme to socialise PKM student grants in the 2024/2025 academic year at UMPWR.
This activity was opened directly by the Head of the Economic Education Study Program Cahyo Apri Setiaji, M. Pd. as well as reading the UMPWR Chancellor's Decree regarding the conversion of MBKM programme credits and thesis-free alternatives. This seminar presented a speaker, Dedi Runanto S.E, M. Si., as the Head of Student Affairs of UMPWR who has experience as a PKM supervisor who passed the 2024 funding. This seminar carries the theme ‘Creative Students for an Innovative Campus’, the hope is that this theme can encourage students to be more active in their work, utilise campus facilities, and dare to explore their potential, so that the campus is truly used as a place to develop various innovations.
In this seminar, it was clearly explained about the various types of PKM along with examples of proposal titles that passed funding in the previous year, the flow of PKM submission (starting from team formation, ideas, and determining supervisors, to making proposals), and what are the administrative requirements in preparing PKM proposals. The enthusiasm of the participants was also seen during the question and answer session regarding the implementation of this PKM. It is hoped that this socialisation can encourage students to participate in the Student Creativity Programme (PKM) selection in 2025 at the internal level until they qualify for funding at PIMNAS.
