Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) - the arrival of a team of assessors from the Directorate General of Teachers and Education Personnel of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia to conduct Quality Assurance Visitation and Evaluation Monitoring of the Implementation of the Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG) at UMPWR on November 4 - 5, 2024. The assessors were Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, M.Pd., and Novita Nurbaiti, M.Pd. The opening of the visitation activities was held in the Main Meeting Room of UMPWR and was attended by the Chairperson of the UMPWR Daily Governing Board, Rector, Vice Rector, Head of PPG Study Program, PPG lecturers, and also representatives from related units.
The Chairman of the Daily Governing Board, Drs. Muh. Hamidi, M.Pd., in his remarks welcomed the assessor team, as well as thanked them for being given PPG students at UMPWR in approximately 2 years. “PPG is a complement for us. FETT without PPG is like a vegetable without salt” said Drs. Hamidi. PPG at UMPWR has graduated its students three times so far. Drs. Hamidi hopes that in the future UMPWR will be increasingly given the trust to open PPG programs and also hopefully PPG will give birth to very professional teachers, beyond the expectations of the community.
UMPWR Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd, said that so far the implementation of PPG at UMPWR has run quite smoothly. PPG UMPWR very often conducts coordination - coordination. The Rector also explained that internal monitoring is also carried out through the Quality Assurance Agency (LPM). The Rector supports this visitation because it is part of one of the processes to ensure that PPG at UMPWR runs smoothly.
Novita Nurbaiti, M.Pd., said that on the first day there will be confirmation of data and documents that have been sent by PPG UMPWR to the assessor team, including interviews with several lecturers, student representatives, etc. While on the second day there will be a visit to PPG UMPWR partner schools.
