Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) - successfully passed the Learning Innovation Research grant program as an incentive to achieve 8 Key Performance Indicators (IKU) for Private Universities in 2024 from the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology. For this success, UMPWR was invited to the agenda of Announcement, Determination, and Signing of Cooperation Contract Documents for Grantees of the Learning Innovation Research Program as an Incentive for Achieving 8 Key Performance Indicators for Private Universities on Friday - Saturday, November 1 - 2, 2024 at The Sultan Hotel & Residence Jakarta. Present directly on the agenda was the Rector of UMPWR Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd., and Vice Rector I Dr. Dwi Irawati, S.E., M.Si., who is also the head of the proposing team.
Several units of laptops, smart TVs, and UPS Smart were obtained through this program to support learning on the UMPWR campus. Dr. Dwi Irawati, S.E., M.Si., said that currently technology has changed almost all aspects of life, including in the field of education. UMPWR strives to be competitive, so it must keep up with the times by providing technological facilities that support modern learning. Smart class is a necessity that is currently very necessary, because this class utilizes digital devices, the internet, and educational software that allows the lecture process to be more effective, interactive, and interesting.
The Learning Innovation Research Program is a very relevant program in encouraging the achievement of 8 KPIs, as well as providing motivation for students and lecturers at UMPWR to continue to be creative and innovate in improving the quality of learning and research. With this program, UMPWR is determined to continue to improve the quality of learning and research so that it not only produces competent graduates, but also becomes part of the global solution in improving the quality of higher education in Indonesia.
