Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) - one of the Student Entrepreneurship Development Program (P2WM) teams with the title “Aiyna Back to Nature Love your Nature” participated in the Indonesian Student Entrepreneurship (KMI) Expo XV 2024 which was held at the Halu Oleo University Campus, Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi for 5 (five) days from Tuesday, October 22, 2024 to Saturday, October 26, 2024. The P2WM Aiyna Back to Nature Love your Nature team from UMPWR was represented by its team leader, Denita Permata Sari, accompanied by accompanying lecturer Fitri Rahmawati, S.E., M.M.
The participants of KMI Expo 2024 are from all universities across Indonesia, including state universities, private universities, and Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah universities throughout Indonesia. KMI Expo 2024 is organized with various important objectives that focus on student empowerment and community development. One of the main objectives is to empower students from various universities in Indonesia by providing them with knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and the latest technology. Through a deep understanding of these concepts, it is hoped that students can be better prepared to face challenges in the workforce and make positive contributions to society. In addition, KMI Expo 2024 also aims to build a strong network between students, lecturers, and industry professionals. By holding seminars and discussions, participants are expected to exchange experiences, establish new relationships, and find future collaboration opportunities. Building a solid network is very important in this global era, as it can open up new opportunities for participants to grow. This activity also encourages innovation and creativity among students. By addressing current topics such as generative AI and digital-based entrepreneurship, KMI Expo 2024 is expected to spur participants to explore new ideas and apply them in business and social contexts. This will help them think critically and creatively, and prepare themselves for the challenges of the ever-changing digital era.
Furthermore, this activity serves to increase financial awareness among students. The financial literacy seminar held aims to provide an understanding of the importance of good financial management. By understanding the basics of finance, students are expected to make wiser decisions and plan their future better. Lastly, KMI Expo 2024 also plays a role in promoting local potential, especially in the Kendari area. By involving local universities and communities, this activity is expected to contribute to the economic development of the region and support tourism growth. Overall, KMI Expo 2024 aims to create a platform that supports learning, collaboration, and innovation among students, as well as contributing to social and economic development in Indonesia.
During KMI Expo 2024 in Kendari, participants engaged in a variety of exciting programs. These included presentations from various universities, innovative product exhibitions, seminars, and panel discussions involving experts in education and industry. Participants also had the opportunity to network with fellow students and professionals, broaden their horizons, and explore potential future collaborations.
