Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) – Participating in a national entrepreneurship event is not only about showcasing products. For UMPWR students, meeting and learning directly from experienced figures in the business world is another valuable part of the experience.

This was experienced by Dini Aprilia, a student of the Economic Education Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) and one of the members of the Dehiera team, during her participation in KMI Expo XVII at Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (UNSOED), Tuesday (September 29, 2026).

During the opening ceremony and talk show of KMI Expo XVII at Graha Widyatama UNSOED, Dini had the opportunity to engage in a direct discussion with Andy F. Noya, who is widely known as the host of the Kick Andy television program. The discussion focused on how to build a business system that can support the success and sustainability of a business.

For Dini, the opportunity became one of the most memorable experiences during KMI Expo XVII. She gained new insights into business management and realized that having a good product alone is not enough to ensure a business can grow.

“I gained many valuable insights from my discussion with Mr. Andy F. Noya, especially about the importance of building a strong business system. A business is not only about having a good product, but also about creating a system that allows the business to keep running and growing,” Dini said.

She also viewed KMI Expo XVII as an opportunity to meet fellow student entrepreneurs from different universities. Through these interactions, she was able to see firsthand how other students develop their businesses and respond to challenges in entrepreneurship.

“For me, this has been a very valuable experience. Meeting students from different regions and having the opportunity to speak directly with someone like Mr. Andy has motivated me to keep learning and developing Dehiera,” she added.

In addition to gaining new knowledge and insights from the talk show, Dini also received a prize from PT Paragon Wardah during the KMI Expo XVII event.

Dehiera's faculty advisor, Dr. Anita Rinawati, M.Pd., said that experiences such as KMI Expo are an important part of students' learning process. She believes students need opportunities to learn beyond the classroom, including through national-scale entrepreneurship events.

“KMI Expo has provided a very meaningful experience for the students. They not only learn how to present and promote their products, but also have the opportunity to build networks, interact with business figures and entrepreneurs, and see firsthand how a business is developed,” Anita explained.

She hopes the experience gained by Dini and other Dehiera members will become valuable capital for further developing their business.

“Hopefully, what they have learned during KMI Expo will not remain just an experience. They can apply these lessons and use them as material for evaluation to improve and further develop Dehiera,” she added.

Dehiera's participation in KMI Expo XVII has provided another valuable space for UMPWR students to learn through real-world experience. By bringing their product, “Threads of Batik and Whispers of Embroidery,” Dehiera not only introduced the work of UMPWR students on a national stage but also gained opportunities to learn, build connections, and develop new perspectives on entrepreneurship.
