Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) – Teachers are not only expected to be able to deliver learning materials but are also encouraged to continuously find ways to make learning more engaging, relevant, and responsive to students’ needs. This spirit is reflected in the Kedu Regional Digital Learning Media Competition organized by Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR).
Carrying the theme “Innovation in Learning Media for Deep Learning”, the competition is open to teachers and school principals at the elementary/MI, junior high/MTs, and senior high/vocational high school levels across the Kedu region. The event is part of the series of activities commemorating the 62nd Anniversary of Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo.
Through this competition, UMPWR aims to provide educators with a platform to showcase their creativity while sharing good practices in developing digital learning media. The works produced are expected not merely to serve as competition entries but also to become sources of inspiration and alternative learning resources that can be implemented in schools.
Participants may enter the competition individually or as a team. Each participant is allowed to submit only one learning media work, which must be original and independently created by the participant. The type and content of the digital learning media are open to the participants’ creativity.
To participate, contestants must register and submit their work according to the निर्धारित schedule. Each submission must also be accompanied by a 5–10-minute presentation video containing the name of the learning media, a simulation of how it is used, its advantages, and other relevant information deemed necessary.
The competition will begin with registration and submission of works from September 1 to October 5, 2026. The submitted works will then undergo an assessment stage from October 6 to 10, 2026. The finalists will be announced on October 12, 2026, while the offline finalist presentations and announcement of the winners will take place on October 15, 2026.
The committee has prepared prizes for the winners. First Place will receive IDR 1,000,000, Second Place IDR 750,000, and Third Place IDR 500,000. An award will also be presented to the Honorable Mention winner.
The competition provides an opportunity for teachers across the Kedu region to demonstrate that learning innovation does not always have to be complicated. From the classroom, through everyday teaching experiences and teachers’ creativity, simple yet meaningful learning media can emerge.
Therefore, UMPWR invites teachers and school principals throughout the Kedu region to take part. It is not simply about competing, but about sharing ideas and demonstrating that teachers continue to move forward alongside developments in learning in the digital era.
