Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) – Through its Professional Teacher Education (PPG) Program, Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) has once again achieved remarkable success at the national level. At the 2026 National PPG Student Competition in the Teaching Category, organized by the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Universitas Tidar, UMPWR's PPG students earned awards in three different competition categories.

The achievements were led by Faizatul Khoiriyah, who won Second Place in the Microteaching Competition – Subject Matter Mastery Category for the Indonesian Language study program. These accomplishments demonstrate that UMPWR's PPG students are highly competitive among participants from Teacher Education Institutions (LPTKs) across Indonesia. They also reflect the strong academic mentoring continuously developed by the UMPWR PPG Program in preparing future teachers who are professional, innovative, and adaptable to the evolving demands of education.

The Head of the UMPWR PPG Program, Dr. Yuli Widiyono, M.Pd., expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the students' outstanding achievements.

"Alhamdulillah, this achievement is the result of our students' hard work, supported by the consistent guidance and mentoring provided by our lecturers. These awards motivate us to continuously improve the quality of the PPG Program so that we can produce outstanding, creative, and professional teachers who are well-prepared to meet the challenges of education in the digital era. We hope these accomplishments will inspire more students to excel at both the national and international levels."

The success of UMPWR's PPG students further reinforces the university's commitment to preparing future educators who not only possess strong pedagogical and professional competencies but are also capable of developing innovative learning approaches that meet the needs of contemporary education.

Looking ahead, the UMPWR PPG Program will continue encouraging its students to actively participate in academic competitions as part of its ongoing efforts to foster a culture of excellence and enhance the competitiveness of its graduates at both the national and global levels.
